We are getting ready to open for our 2025 season beginning May 15th and will be open until Saturday, Oct 11th.
Each year we look forward to bringing you something new, this year is no exception. We are honoured to have been awarded a brand-new exhibit from Science North — Indigenous Ingenuity. This will feature several unique and interactive components. It will open to the public on June 5th. If you have a group wishing to visit this new exhibit, please call (705) 744-5495 or email curator@mattawamuseum.ca to make arrangements.

Julie Lynn will be returning to Mattawa for our Julie Lynn Day on June 20th – stay tuned for details.
We are also expanding our focus on local communities and we begin with a feature on Calvin Township. Survey maps, pictures, stories and artifacts… come learn more about these stories.
The Museum Giftshop has a new look with new clothing items, artists and authors.
