We were very exited to launch the Women’s Exhibit this season at the museum. Dedicated to all the women of our community, past, present, and future. We would like to continue to build on the exhibit and invite you to share any stories that you may have.
We will use technology in the form of a digital book and you will be able to contribute in the form of a memory or dedication, someone from your past or someone today – through stories, pictures, video, music – current stories as part of that celebration. What is a favourite memory? Story? Who would you like to thank? To celebrate? This is an opportunity for us, all of us, to write our stories.
We will have forms at the museum that you can take with you, or you can click on the link below to fill in the form and send to us at curator@mattawamuseum.ca.

It is important that we connect our past to the life we have now and the legacy we want to leave to our children.
The focus is on women being the hearts and souls who contribute to all aspects of our community. Tell us your stories through memories or events – who is special to you?
We have an amazing timeline posted beginning in the 1800s that represents our journey through activism, legalities, rights, and accomplishments.
Most importantly it is a chance for us, as women, to continue to support and celebrate each other. While we remember those who have gone before us, we also need to lift those today who support and shape our community.
We look forward to the Stories She Tells
